Steel Rain is a Forward Observer training app for 13F (US Army) and 0861 (USMC) MOS soldiers, FOs, FSOs, JFOs, ROTC cadets, OCS candidates, FA OBC students, and anyone preparing for NCO/officer boards, the FIST certification, or company-level fire-support positions. WHAT YOU GET • BASIC TRAINING — Nine interactive classes covering Call-for-Fire format, mils & direction, map reading, OT-line corrections, the 15 subsequent corrections in doctrinal order, mil-relation range estimation, FO loadout, and fire support products. Each class follows a four-phase pattern: lessons → quiz → drills → complete. Per-attempt option shuffle. Earn XP and promote. • FIRE MISSIONS — Live adjust-fire and grid-mission scenarios. Transmit calls for fire by voice using on-device speech recognition. Walk rounds in. FDC TTS voices respond in real time. • ROC-V THREAT RECOGNITION — Identify 25 near-peer combat vehicles from silhouette: Russian armor (T-72, T-90, BMP-3, BTR-82), PLA platforms (Type-99, Type-96, ZBD-04, ZBL-08, HQ-9), Iranian variants (Karrar, Boragh, Fajr-5), and globally-fielded UAS (Shahed, Lancet, CH-4, Orlan-10).
